oscars 2024: Jr NTR from SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ and Ram Charan’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ made a cameo appearance at Oscars 2024. Scenes from the song were projected on a large screen during the presentation of the Best Original Song award. For those unaware, ‘Natu Natu’ won the Oscar in the same category in 2023 and became the first Indian song to win the trophy.
This year, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo took to the stage to announce Best Original Song at the Oscars 2024. As they moved towards the center stage, we could see scenes from last year’s winner – ‘Naatu Naatu’ – projected on the big screen. The official X page of ‘RRR’ shared the video and captioned the post with three fire emojis, “On the #Oscars stage again!!! #RRRMovie”.

Not just ‘Naatu Naatu’, the Academy also included the action sequence from the climax of ‘RRR’ as part of its tribute to the world’s greatest stunt sequences in films.

‘Naatu Naatu’ created history as it became the first song from an Indian production to win in the Best Original Song category. Music director MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose accepted the award on stage.
SS Rajamouli and his family, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana, Jr NTR and his wife Lakshmi Pranathi attended the Oscars 2023 ceremony and cheered for the team. On the work front, SS Rajamouli is now preparing for his upcoming film with actor Mahesh Babu. The untitled film is expected to go on floors in summer 2024.
