While celebrities broke the internet with their looks at the Oscars 2024, an adorable dog attending the awards ceremony managed to grab the headlines. Any guess who? Well, this is 7-year-old Border Collie Macy, best known for her role in the Oscar-winning film Anatomy of a Fall.
Messi plays Milo Machado-Graner’s service dog Snoop in the film. After Milo finds his father dead, the film focuses on a complicated murder trial in which Sandra (Sandra Huller) is the prime suspect in her husband’s death.
Messi has become a global celebrity since the film premiered, attending award ceremonies and sitting for interviews. After she was spotted at the Oscars, people immediately took to Instagram to share her photos and videos.

Anatomy of a Fall won the award in the category of Best Original Screenplay and American Fiction won the award in the category of Best Adapted Screenplay. Robert Downey Jr. also won his first Oscar. The actor won the award in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in Oppenheimer. Zone of Interest won the award for Best International Feature. This is the UK’s third win in this category.
The film Poor Things won awards under three categories – Best Make-up and Hairstyle, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.
The Holdover’s Da’Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress. A tearful Randolph accepted the award and said, “God is so good.” The award for Best Animated Short went to War Is Over, a song inspired by the music of John and Yoko. The Boy and the Heron, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
