Sydney: Pat Cummins took five wickets and Mitchell Starc took two wickets. Australia bowled out Pakistan for 313 runs in the first innings in the third and final match of the three-Test series today without any wicket till the end of the day’s play. Six runs have been scored for the loss of wicket. Australia is currently 307 runs behind Pakistan on the basis of first innings.
Coming to bat first, Pakistan had a very bad start and both the openers Abdullah Shafiq and Sam Ayub could not open their account. Abdullah Shafiq was caught by Mitchell Starc at the hands of Steve Smith on the second ball of the first over. In the very next over, Josh Hazlewood dismissed Sam Ayub. After the fall of two wickets, Babar Azam and captain Shan Masood took charge of Pakistan’s innings. Babar was out LBW for 26 runs by Pat Cummins. After some time, Saud Shakeel returned to the pavilion on five runs. Captain Shan Masood was also out after scoring 35 runs on the ball of Mitchell Marsh. Mohammad Rizwan hit 10 fours and two sixes in his innings of 88 runs. He was caught by Josh Hazlewood on the ball of Pat Cummins. After him Sajid Khan also became the victim of Cummins. He scored 15 runs. Agha Salman was out after scoring 53 runs on 67 balls. Hasan Ali was out on zero. Aamir Jamal was out after scoring 82 runs, he was caught by Nathan Lyon at the hands of Mitchell Starc. Mir Hamza remained unbeaten on seven. For Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan scored 88 runs in 103 balls, Aamer Jamal scored 82 runs in 97 balls, Agha Salman played a half-century of 53 runs in 67 balls, due to which the team could score 313 runs in 77.1 overs in the first innings.
