International cricket tournament returns to Pakistan after almost 15 years
Pakistan will open their Asia Cup campaign against Nepal on Wednesday, marking the return of the multi-team international cricket tournament to the country after nearly 15 years. Pakistan cricket has had a difficult journey since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in March 2009.
Subsequently, Pakistan lost the rights to host the Champions Trophy, as well as its co-hosting of the 2011 World Cup.
