Today is the era of OTT platform. People like to watch web series or movies sitting at home. One such favorite series among the audience is ‘Panchayat’ on Amazon Prime Video. Produced by The Viral Fever, the show explores the complexities of rural life, bureaucratic challenges and the clash between urban and rural cultures.
Now fans are eagerly waiting for the third season. Earlier it was said that this series is going to be released on January 15. However this did not happen. It was being said that movies like Merry Christmas and Fighter were coming in January. Therefore the makers postponed the release date. Now the official announcement of when it will be released is yet to be made. Seasons 1 and 2 consist of 8 episodes.
‘Panchayat’ traces the journey of Abhishek Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar, who is an engineering graduate. Who was forced to become the secretary of the Panchayat office in the imaginary village Phulera due to limited job opportunities.
The series depicts the struggles of Abhishek as he deals with the complexities of rural life, deals with bureaucratic hurdles and grapples with village politics.
‘Panchayat’ season 3 will also star Faisal Malik, who will play the role of Vice-Pradhan Prahlad Chand Pandey, Chandan Roy will play the role of Vikas, an office assistant, and Sanvika will play the role of Rinki, the daughter of the Pradhan family.
The initial season focused on Abhishek Tripathi’s rural life and his struggle to adapt to a completely unfamiliar environment. Also, his goal was to improve his job prospects and leave the village by preparing for the CAT exam.
In the second season, Abhishek clearly became familiar with the village life and got along well with everyone. A romantic subplot emerges between Abhishek and Rinki, played by Sanvika.
