Parmeet Sethi praised Shoaib’s performance of ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’ – Dainik Savera Times

Mumbai: Actor Parmeet Sethi praised Shoaib Ibrahim’s performance in the wedding track ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’ in the celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. He said that he felt as if Shahrukh Khan was dancing. Power couple Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi joined the latest episode of the show as special guests.

Shoaib enthralled the judges and the audience with his special performance on the iconic wedding songs, ‘Chal Pyar Karegi’, ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’, ‘Yeh Boyka Hai Allah’ and ‘Sajanji Ghar Aaye’ along with choreographer Anuradha Iyengar.Guest Archana said, “When I was watching Shoaib, it really felt as if a hero from a film was dancing. It seemed as if your hair, your demeanor and attire complimented your body, making you look like a typical hero.

Furthermore, Parmeet shared, ‘I actually felt as if Shahrukh Khan was dancing after seeing you.’ Impressed by the mesmerizing act, judge Farah Khan said, ‘I liked it the most because four I have choreographed three of the songs. Parmeet was also a part of ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’. I liked it very much because you created the entire story from mehendi to sangeet and wedding ceremony.

He said, “Shoaib, you danced with so much joy and love. Anuradha, I loved it, you didn’t waste any beat and choreographed it well. It was so nice, I felt like I was watching someone’s wedding.’ Adding an extra layer of love and emotion to the already mesmerizing act, Shoaib’s wife Deepika Kakkar joined him at the end of the act. Surprised them.Deepika went down memory lane and talked about her wedding and recalled the beautiful moments they shared during their wedding ceremony.

The ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ fame actress said, ‘During the wedding ceremony it really felt as if a dream had come true for me. Our marriage took place in Maudaha which is Shoaib’s village. Our marriage procession passed through the same streets from where mother and father’s marriage procession had passed. The whole experience was very traditional and desi. Our journey started with the whole family traveling together in the train. It was very fun. We didn’t have the usual pre-wedding shoot, so after reaching the village we went to the fields and started recreating the scenes from ‘DDLJ’. ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ airs on Sony.
