Pathan director calls Deepika a real action star

#PathanMumbai | Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is in the news for her upcoming spy-thriller film ‘Pathan’, in which she is playing the role of a spy. Siddharth Anand, the director of this film, described Deepika as the real action star. Talking about his love for femme fatale in films, Siddharth said, “There is nothing cooler or sexier than a woman wielding a powerful weapon on screen. As a movie-lover, I have always looked down upon women doing bad action sequences and hence, when we got Deepika Padukone in ‘Pathan’, we could relish her most badass form as the hot, gun-toting, femme fatale spy. I wanted to introduce you to something people have never seen before!

Recalling a sequence from the film, the director said, “In one of the action sequences in ‘Pathan’, Deepika fires a Gatling gun and you have to see the sequence to believe how perfect she is as a true action superstar!” I am sure people will clap for him after seeing his action in ‘Pathan’.

‘Pathan’, which sees Shah Rukh Khan returning to the silver screen after four years, also stars John Abraham. The film is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 25.(IANS)
