The Union Cabinet has given its approval for a subsidy of Rs 400 in domestic cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme.
Amidst the enthusiasm of Rakshabandhan, the Modi government at the center has given a relief gift to the sisters. The price of domestic APG cylinder has been cut by Rs 200 in his kitchen.
The Union Cabinet has approved a subsidy of Rs 400 in domestic cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme. While giving relief to all the consumers, the government has decided to give a subsidy of Rs.200.
Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that the government has decided to reduce the price of domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 200 for all consumers.
Ujjwala beneficiaries will now get a benefit of Rs 400 per LPG cylinder. The central government will give 75 lakh new free LPG connections under the Ujjwala scheme.
The benefit of the subsidy given by the government will be available on 12 cooking gas cylinders. Similarly, the benefit of subsidy of Rs 400 to the beneficiary under the Ujjwala scheme will also be valid only up to 12 cylinders.
What is Ujjwala Yojana: Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was started in 2016. Under this, the government gives free cooking gas connections to families below the poverty line.
How will you be able to take advantage of subsidy: To take advantage of subsidy, your Aadhaar must be linked to a gas connection. A subsidy of Rs 200 is available on a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder.
