The officials shared pictures of Modi traveling in the metro train, sitting and interacting with the passengers. Initially, I thought I would be a little intimidated, but his aura was quite mesmerizing.” Heavy security was deployed at metro stations and inside coaches. Gupta said, “During the conversation, he (Prime Minister) talked about the importance and role of youth in nation building. A student asked him that if India’s reputation is increasing then to whom the credit goes. In response, the Prime Minister said that ‘it is the youth who have carried forward the reputation of India’. He also urged the students to take care of their health while studying. Gupta, who is studying at Motilal Nehru College, said he promised the prime minister that he would stay in India and work for the country after completing his education. Gupta, a DU student from North Delhi’s Roshanara Bagh, said his metro ride with the Prime Minister “will always be cherished”. Delhi Metro officials said Modi traveled in the metro on his return journey as well.
