Produced by Vaijanti Movies, the project will also star Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. Now, the much-anticipated Indian big-budget sci-fi film will unveil exclusive footage at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the presence of talent.
Kicking off the SDCC festivities, Vyjayanthi Movies will offer fans a viewing of the film on July 19 as part of an opening night party. Taking to his Instagram, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh informed, “BIG NEWS… Amitabh – Prabhas – Deepika – Kamal Haasan: ‘Project K’ title, trailer, release date to be unveiled at Comic Con, USA… Mark the date: 20th July 2023. ProjectK is all set to create history, as the first Indian film to debut at #SanDiegoComicCon. Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and National Award winning director Naga Ashwin will visit USA to unveil the title, trailer and release date of the film.”
On July 20, the film’s team along with Deepika, Prabhas and Haasan will host a panel titled “This is Project K: First Glimpses of India’s Mytho-Sci-Fi Epic”, during which the film’s full title, teaser trailer and release date will be revealed. The date will be disclosed.
Interestingly, the stars will also be joining in to perform on the biggest stage of SDCC. “This special event will take guests into India’s most ambitious cinematic universe with its captivating storyline, futuristic setting and film-inspired ‘spice punk’ aesthetic,” the makers said in a statement.
