Prachi Bansal will play the role of Goddess Ganga in Shivshakti

New Delhi. Actress Prachi Bansal, who is all set to play Goddess Ganga in mythological show ‘Shiv Shakti-Tapa Tyag Tandav’, says it is not just a role, but a huge responsibility.

The show revolves around two of the most revered deities – Shiva and Shakti. It depicts his journey of duty, sacrifice and isolation which leads to penance, renunciation and Tandav. The show beautifully depicts the first love story of Lord Shiva and Goddess Sati.

Its story is based on Tarakasura using the necessary power to defeat Indra and the gods and capture the Swarga Lok. It is shown that Bhagirath, the grandson of Anshuman, performed austere penance and received the blessings of Brahma and Shiva. Brahma allowed the Ganges to descend to earth, while Shiva contained her fierce fury in his locks so that she would not tear the earth apart with her power.

Prachi said, “It is a great honor to embody the essence of the holy Ganga in ‘Shiv Shakti – Tapa Tyag Tandav’. As her waters have nourished countless souls, she has now become a part of my journey . This role is not just a portrayal, it is a responsibility.”
