Speaking with Anupam Kher on his talk show, Priyanka recalled the moment how Krrish director Rakesh Roshan spotted her and then cast her in the superhero film. The actress told, ‘Rakesh sir saw me at someone’s funeral, and he called me. He said I saw you at the funeral, you are very beautiful. I said, excuse me? I was wearing a white salwar kurta, no makeup. So. Rakesh Roshan sir called me right after the release of his film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. He wanted to see my work in protest.
Priyanka Chopra was embarrassed
Now Priyanka was getting tensed. She knew that Rakesh Roshan shows women well in his films. All their focus is on them only. And in Aitraj, his character was not like that at all. But Rakesh Roshan was insisting on seeing his objection. Priyanka told, ‘I called Abbas-Mustan, and I said, look, there is a question of my respect. Please don’t show him the interval scene. It was a rape scene, in which I rape Akshay’s character. He saw that scene and cast me in Krrish. I was very embarrassed, I could not meet his eyes.
Priyanka had received the award
Priyanka Chopra won the Filmfare Award for Best Negative Role in ‘Aitraaz’. She became the second female actress after Kajol to do so. Because Kajol received this award for her villainous performance in the 1998 film ‘Gupt: The Hidden Truth’. Bobby Deol was seen in it.
