Producers of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ Asit Modi, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal lodged complaint in legal trouble, what will be the action?

Powai police have registered a case under IPC sections 354 and 509 against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumar Modi, operations head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj based on a complaint by the show’s actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal. Mumbai Police said that no one has been arrested in this case so far. A police officer said, “An FIR has been registered against Modi and the investigation is currently underway.” It is also learned that it is also not clear whether Modi will be called to record his statement in the case.

The tussle between Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal and the team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah escalated to another level as the Powai police registered a case against the show’s producers Asit Modi, Sohail Ramani (project head) and Jatin Bajaj (executive producer). The actress who plays Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi took the legal route to claim justice and filed a complaint against Asit Modi, Sohail and Jatin last month. The police swung into action on June 19 and registered a case under sections 354 and 509 of the IPC against the three accused on the basis of Jennifer’s complaint.

Asit Modi reacts to the FIR lodged against him

Today (June 20), Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi released a statement reacting to the FIR lodged against him, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj. He said, “We deny all the allegations and have given our statement to the police. We are not aware that an FIR has been registered. In any case, the matter is under investigation, so no further Will not comment.”

Jennifer’s comment on the FIR lodged against Asit Modi

The actress said, ‘I was called to the police station yesterday (Monday, June 19) evening. I reached there at 7:30 and I stayed there till 12:30 and finally, the FIR has been registered. I have been told by the police that whenever they need any information, they will call me. Law will take its course, I have done whatever I could. Mainly, the FIR has been filed because it was pending for the last several days, and it is a big deal.”

The recent controversy surrounding Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah began with Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who accused the show’s producer Asit Kumar Modi of repeatedly making unwanted sexual advances towards her. Jennifer also made serious allegations against Sohail and Jatin, accusing them of misbehaving during their time on the show. These actors have made several serious allegations, including non-payment of dues, harassment of actors on sets, maintaining malevolent atmosphere and causing mental agony.
