New Delhi: Cheteshwar Pujara, who has played with Ravichandran Ashwin in the Indian team for a long time, says that this senior off-spinner is always ready to try new things and always keeps himself one step ahead of the rival batsmen.

Pujara, who played his 100th Test last year, said that batsmen do not get respite while facing Ashwin because this bowler is always trying to take wickets.
Pujara said, “He does not allow the batsmen to take respite. If you get comfortable with him playing ‘over the stump’ he will change it to ’round the stump’. Here he will achieve such an angle that if the ball goes straight, even if you try to defend it, the ball will touch the edge of the bat. ,
He wrote, “He constantly keeps his eyes on the batsman. If the batsman thinks of trying to sweep, Ashwin will bowl a little more full length ball and will stop him by bowling a little faster ball. ,
