Radhika Madan’s film Sana selected for New York Indian Film Festival

Mumbai | Radhika Madan’s film ‘Sana’ has been selected for the official competition at the 23rd New York Indian Film Festival to be held from May 11 to 14. The film stars Sohum Shah, Shikha Talsania and Pooja Bhatt. It is the oldest and most prestigious film festival in North America, showcasing cinema from India and the Indian diaspora. The festival celebrates cinema from the global Indian community.
Directed by National Award-winning director Sudhanshu Sariya, the film narrates the story of a 28-year-old woman, played by Radhika Madan, who is waging an internal battle due to unresolved trauma.
Director Sudhanshu Sariya said: It is a great honor to have ‘Sana’ selected for official competition at the New York Indian Film Festival. The festival has been a longstanding champion of independent cinema from the Indian diaspora, and we are thrilled to have it. Our film showcased with such a diverse and compelling body of work. I am looking forward to participating in the festival and engaging with fellow filmmakers and the audience.
The film was earlier screened at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the 38th Santa Barbara International Film Festival. It is also set to be a part of the 25th UK Asia Film Festival as the opening film, scheduled to take place from May 4 to May 13, 2023.
