indian cricket board (BCCI) Secretary Jai Shah Confirmed that Rahul Dravid will remain the head coach of India till the T20 World Cup to be held in June this year. Dravid’s contract had expired after the ODI World Cup last year but without fixing his tenure, he was asked to continue in the post along with his support staff till the tour of South Africa in December-January. But Shah said that he held talks with the former captain before deciding to keep Dravid as the head coach till the T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and America. Shah said on the sidelines of a program here on Wednesday, ‘After the World Cup, Rahul Bhai had to immediately go on South Africa tour. Meanwhile, our meeting could not take place which finally became possible today.

He said, ‘Why are you worried about the contract of a senior person like Rahul Dravid? He will remain the coach in the T20 World Cup also. Shah, however, indicated that there would be a few rounds of talks between them before the T20 World Cup. He said, ‘Whenever I get time, I will talk to him. Right now series are happening continuously. First they were in South Africa and then there was a series against Afghanistan and now we are playing against England. We did not have any conversation during this period.
