Mahesh Babu is enjoying a nice break with his family but what is in news now is SSMB 29, his magnum opus with director SS Rajamouli. The Telugu star is shooting for SSMB 28 with Trivikram Srinivas and has already completed one schedule. The film also stars Pooja Hegde and Sreeleela. However, the hot topic at the moment is SSMB 29 and there are some exciting facts about the film that you may not be aware of. Mahesh Babu is reportedly playing a role inspired by Hanuman in SSMB 29. The film, as earlier revealed by SS Rajamouli, has an Indiana Jones-like feel to it and will be shot in African jungles. As we know, Hanuman was a major figure in the epic, Ramayana, and he traveled around the world with ease and also possessed stellar power. Hanuman traveled from India to Sri Lanka and the Himalayas in just one jump and we are also going to see Mahesh Babu traveling the world in search of something.

Unlike some of SS Rajamouli’s previous films like Baahubali and RRR where we saw two big heroes, this film will revolve around Mahesh Babu only. He is going to carry the entire film on his shoulders like Hanuman carrying Mahodara mountain to India. It is going to be exciting for the audience as the story will be very different from Rajamouli’s previous films. There is a lot of VFX involved in this film too, so we can expect some thrilling action sequences with Mahesh Babu in the jungle as well.

All the previous movies of SS Rajamouli were shot in the budget of 300 crores but this time with SSMB 29 it is mega budget of 500 crores and the film is going to be shot in many places across the world. We already know that it will be shot in the jungles of Africa, but Rajamouli may also visit some locations in Europe for the shoot along with India.

Regarding SSMB 29, Rajamouli told the media, I wanted to do an adventure film on the lines of Indiana Jones for a long time and I felt this is the right time to do it.

SS Rajamouli’s father K. Vijayendra Prasad (Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Baahubali) had earlier told the media that the film would be a big budget film but it was also going to be a trilogy. That is, this film is going to be made in three parts. Bahubali was made in two parts and RRR was made in only one part. This is exciting news for Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu fans. However, it is not clear whether Mahesh Babu will play the lead role in all the three films or each segment will have different protagonists. What is important, however, is that superstar Mahesh Babu will be starting a trilogy with SSMB 29.

Since SSMB 29 is being made on a budget of around Rs 500 crore, Rajamouli has already started the pre-production, which is likely to go on till the film goes on floors in 2024. They have hired senior VFX technicians from the US to conduct comprehensive workshops. These workshops for different departments will run for six months.
