Rajinikanth was born on 12 December 1950 in a Marathi family in Bengaluru. His real name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad. Let us tell you that at the age of just 4 years, Rajinikanth lost his mother. He completed his education from Bangalore. Due to poor financial condition of the family, he first started working as an office boy and later as a porter. Balachandran cast Rajinikanth in the film ‘Apoorva Raganagal’. But this film could not bring much popularity to Rajinikanth. After this, he worked with Amitabh Bachchan in the film ‘Don’ in 1978.

Later this film was remade in South with the name ‘Billa’. This film proved to be a superhit and Rajinikanth also got recognition from this film.
