Raj Kumar Kohli Passes Away: Filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, known for directing fantasy fiction hits like Naagin and Jaani Dushman in the 70s, died in Mumbai on Friday. He was 93 years old. The filmmaker suffered a heart attack at 8 am on Friday and died soon after. If media reports are to be believed, his funeral is going to take place this evening. Armaan’s close friend Vijay Grover confirmed this news. It is being told that the director had gone to take a bath this morning, when he did not come out after bathing for some time. Reportedly, when his son Armaan found his father lying on the floor, he broke the door. After this Raj was taken to the hospital and where the doctors declared him dead.

Rajkumar Kohli was born in 1930 and started his journey in films in the 1960s with the film ‘Sapni’ released in 1963 and directed the Punjabi film Dulla Bhatti in 1966. After this he achieved moderate successes in Hindi cinema like ‘Lootera’ (1970) and ‘Kahaani Hum Sab Ki’. 1973). But he got success with the 1976 multi-starrer superhit Naagin. After this he made another multi-starrer hit Jaani Dushman, which was one of India’s first horror hit films released in 1979.
