Arun Govil in conversation with ABP News has given his reaction regarding the film ‘Adipurush’. The actor has said in this conversation, ‘Ramayana is a matter of faith for us and any kind of tampering with its form is unacceptable. He also said that the talk of modernity and mythology regarding Ramayana is absolutely wrong. Arun Govil said- The matter of special effects of the film is different, here the matter is to present the characters in the right way which is worrying.
What did the makers want to prove by tampering with the original spirit?
In this conversation, Arun Govil looked angry at the makers. Raising the question, he said that it is wrong to divide Ram, Sita or Hanuman in the framework of modernity and mythology. The actor said- All these are Adi and Anant too, their form is already fixed, so what was the objection in showing the same form in the film? What did the makers want to prove by tampering with the original spirit? The actor asked a big question and asked- If the makers have made this film for children, then ask the child whether he liked this film or not?
I do not support such language in Ramayana
Arun Govil also said that I myself always use decent language and I do not like such language. He said, ‘I do not support this kind of language in Ramayana and it is not digestible to make Ramayana look like a cartoon film inspired by Hollywood.’
‘Adipurush’ makers sought his advice
The actor also said that he had talked to the makers after the first teaser of the film came out. The makers sought his opinion and he also gave advice, which he does not want to discuss now. Expressing regret, the actor said – I do not understand what the makers were thinking of making this film. He also said that it is not the fault of the actors because their characters and looks are decided by the makers.
