Ramayana will be telecast again on TV, Shemaroo TV announced

Adipurush released on 16th June and received very poor response from the audience. The film received negative reviews from across the country. From shoddy VFX to dialogues, the film failed to live up to the expectations of the audience. Amidst this, it has now been announced that Ramanand Sagar’s popular show Ramayan will soon be re-aired on television. Shemaroo TV announced that the mythological show will go on air on the channel from 3rd July.

Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan has been the talk of the town ever since its release. The authenticity of the film and its presentation of facts have been questioned. Arun Govil, who plays Lord Ram in Ramayana, even called Adipurush a ‘Hollywood cartoon’. Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhaliya played the role of Ram and Sita respectively in Ramayana while Sunil Lahiri played the role of Lakshmana. Sharing a video of the TV show, the Instagram handle of Shemaroo TV wrote, “The world famous mythological serial Ramayan is back for all the fans and our viewers. Watch it on 3rd July, 7.30 PM only on your favorite channel Shemaroo TV.” ”

Adipurush is a mythological action film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The film is written and directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series and Retrophiles. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, the film stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdutt Nage. The film is made on a whopping budget of Rs 600 crore, making it one of the costliest Indian films.
