Randeep Hooda Interview he said I am in trouble emotionally physically and financially because of my films

About 22 years ago, Randeep Hooda started his acting career through ‘Monsoon Wedding’. After that, in the last two decades, he has gone on to appear in many films like ‘Once Upon a Time’, ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’, ‘Highway’, ‘Sarabjit’. These days he is in discussion with his new series ‘Inspector Avinash’. In this, he is playing the role of Avinash Mishra, a real and super cop from UP. In this meeting, he talks about his series, encounter, biography specialist, stardom, romance etc.

Randeep you have spent two whole years on ‘Inspector Avinash’ so how do you feel now that you are getting appreciation for your role?
I am feeling very thankful. I spent my entire two years on this, now the result is so sweet, people are liking this series and my work. I would like to thank writer-director Neeraj Pathak for choosing me for this role. Also I would like to thank Inspector Avinash ji, who connected me with his life, his seniors and family. As you know that it is based on the life of UP’s super cop Avinash Mishra, so the arrogance and sweetness that you see in this character is due to Mishra ji only. When we started shooting for this series, there were so many problems, sometimes Kovid, sometimes something else, but the way people have reacted to Jio Cinema today, I am proud that my audience is getting a new Randeep Hooda. Got to see

You are known for getting into the soul of your roles. Many actors say that sometimes they get so immersed in their roles that the line between reel and real life gets blurred, your experience?
Now if the line between reel and real life becomes so blurred in my roles that if I go around shooting people as Inspector Avinash, then it is nonsense. You have call time, lunch time and unit, people are there, so you are in your senses. But there is a mental impact, now like after Highway, that role had such an impact that I became depressed. Now like when I dieted to lose weight for Savarkar’s role or earlier for Sarabjit’s role, I become hangry (hungry and angry) at such times. At such times I become out of tolerance. The irritability that comes from not eating food has a different effect on your body. But during the time of Inspector Avinash, my mother was very happy because I put on weight for this role and I was eating and drinking a lot. My mother said, ‘ Son, this time you have taken a very good role. Eating and drinking, sleeping. The house is feeling chubby while eating and drinking. You have never looked so handsome.’ Although my belly was exposed, but my mother was happy. This character was also different for me because I did not get a chance to meet those whose biography I did in personal life, Mishra ji gave me a lot of time in this. I met Charles Sobhraj too in Nepal when the film was on release.

It is being said about you that after Rang Rasiya (based on the life of Raja Ravi Varma), Sarabjit (Sarabjit Singh), Charles (Charles Sobhraj), Veer Savarkar (Savarkar), Inspector Avinash, you have become a biography specialist.
I am thankful to my makers for choosing me for such difficult roles. My well-wishers have told that you change yourself a lot by getting lost in your roles, that’s why you are not getting a solid image, that’s why you are not getting the stardom that you deserve. My point is that when I don’t enjoy my work, I will pickle stardom. Today, after 22 years, if people are respecting my work and I am able to work as per my wish, then it is a great blessing for me. Neither do I go to any party or event, nor do I have any lobby. Still I am able to do what I want. I suffer a lot, emotionally, physically and financially, and I also go through a lot of uncertainty. Now as I have spent my two years in this project. My parents and friends are also very worried about this, but now my work is speaking for itself. See, when you work less, you earn less.

So have you ever had to go through financial pressure to maintain your public image as a hero? People here are used to seeing the hero in a special vehicle or lifestyle.
I am not fond of all these things. Not so, I live very well. I have everything, carts and horses. But I am not like that I will go in this car or eat here only. Many times I leave even after catching an auto. Many times I walk holding someone’s bike. I do not care much about materialistic things and it is not that I am going through starvation or struggling, but one who is comfortable and not that now even if I do not work for whole life, it will be fine for me. have never been together. Let me tell you one thing, the one who has horses, cannot sleep after selling them. That’s why I didn’t sell my horses lest I fall asleep after selling them.

It is an extension of your creativity that you are bringing Veer Savarkar as producer-writer-director?
My journey as Savarkar was in the form of an actor, but something else must be going on in the soul of Savarkar ji sitting above. It is because of his grace that I became a writer from actor, then from writer to director and from director to producer. I had thought that when I get old while acting, then I will direct. But this stage came early in my career. I am also frustrated by this, because now I have to listen to thousands of people’s questions. Due to this I am also under pressure. I too was unaware of their deep history, which has been forgotten, until I read about them. There are many ideologies in our country. No one has contributed in our freedom struggle. What about the rest? This will lead to a dialogue on the various ideologies present in the country.

Talking about films with different ideologies, don’t you think our secular fabric is being affected by the kind of films being made today about country, society and politics?
Movies are not telling anything new. We have read somewhere or seen in the news. Yes, attention should be paid to the perspective from which it is presented. Be it informative, engaging and entertaining, this is the medium of film. After seeing it, less attention is paid to who takes it in which way and more attention is paid to the political issues raised on it. I believe that all types of films should be made, whoever wants to watch them, watch them. If you agree, that too was there, if you don’t agree, that too is fine. This didn’t harm anyone. Yes, if the intention of the creator is not right, then you can question it. Should also be raised.

Talking about encounter specialist, at one time these Pradeep Sharma, Andre etc. were called heroes, but then serious allegations were leveled against them, what would you like to say? How accurate do you consider the encounter?
The first thing is that nothing like this happened with Avinash ji. On the contrary, he was honored. How can I comment on the rest? It is a matter of time. Who is where now and who wants what from whom? As far as encounters are concerned, when things go beyond limits, matters have to be taken in hand. Police is the only department in our constitution which can be used to intimidate vicious criminals. Now how the police handle it, it is their job, what can I say on this?

Talking about love, what is the relationship status of a famous and capable actor like you?
Look, I’ve never talked about this. All I can say is that I am happy.
