Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon did ramp walk on Varanasi Ghat, both the actors told their experience – better than 5 star hotel of Mumbai.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh looked very excited as he walked the ramp on the banks of river Ganga in Varanasi with actress Kriti Sanon on Sunday. He described the experience as “a million times better than hanging out in a 5-star hall in Mumbai”. Held against the backdrop of the city’s Namo Ghat, the fashion show was organized by celebrity fashion designer Manish Malhotra. Describing the event as ‘amazing’ and a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’, Ranveer said, “I was talking to other models backstage that we have walked in many fashion shows, but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.” A walk on the beach felt a million times better than walking into a 5-star bar in Mumbai.

He further said, “This event showcases the exquisite craftsmanship of our weaving community. We deeply appreciate all that Shri Narendra Modi has done to protect and promote the weaving community. The vibrancy of this day and The energy is unforgettable. PM Narendra Modi has completely transformed Kashi.”

Kriti wore a red Banarasi silk lehenga for the fashion show. She looked gorgeous as she completed her look with a golden dupatta and maang-tika (a piece of jewellery). Ranveer looked regal in a golden colored silk kurta, which he teamed with a black dhoti and matching shawl.

A video of the actors from the ramp was shared on the internet. In this, Ranveer and Kriti were seen waving towards the audience from the stage. She walked the ramp amidst the backdrop of fireworks and wonderful music of drums and temple bells.

Excited about wearing a hand-woven Banarasi lehenga, Kriti also spoke in favor of promoting the heritage of Kashi. He said, “The best thing about Banarasi sarees is that the weavers weave only one type of saree. It takes many days to weave one piece. This thing should be taken to the world. I am glad that I Could be a part of it.” This initiative is a very good example of Kashi development as well as heritage.”

Manish Malhotra shared a picture of himself with Ranveer and Kriti from the show and expressed his happiness by writing, “My special thoughts in Kashi Varanasi tonight” and added a red heart emoji. Before the event, Ranveer and Kriti also visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple. He prayed at the temple along with Malhotra.
