RCB beat Rajasthan by seven runs in a thrilling match

Bangalore (Best Hindu News): After a crucial 127-run partnership between Faf du Plessis (62) and Glenn Maxwell (77), Harshal Patel (three wickets for 32 runs) helped Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday Defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven runs in a thrilling match.
RCB scored 189 runs for nine wickets while playing first, in response to which Rajasthan could only manage 182 runs losing six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. After the wicket of Jos Buttler (0), Yashasvi Jaiswal (47) and Devduttar Paddikal laid a strong foundation by sharing a 98-run partnership, although other batsmen could not build a winning building on this foundation. David Willey sent Paddikal off caught by Virat Kohli standing at long-on, while Yashasvi also lost his wicket to Harshal Patel in no time.
Although Sanju Samson (22) and Dhruv Jurel (34 not out) tried to increase the pace of runs while facing the RCB bowlers, their efforts fell short in front of RCB’s tight fielding and bowling.
Earlier, after losing the wickets of captain Virat Kohli (0) and Shahbaz Ahmed (2) cheaply, RCB made Rajasthan sweat with the partnership between Faf du Plessis (62) and Glenn Maxwell (77). Both kept the run rate close to ten runs per over till the 14th over. Meanwhile, du Plessis was run out in the process of stealing runs. Du Plessis hit eight fours and two brilliant sixes in his half-century innings in just 39 balls.
After the fall of du Plessis, the Rajasthan bowlers applied the pressure, as a result of which they got the valuable wicket of Maxwell in the last ball of the 15th over. He was caught at backward point by the tall Jason Holder in an attempt to loft Ravichandran Ashwin. Maxwell hit six fours and four sixes. After the dismissal of both of them, RCB batsmen were seen under pressure and kept losing their wickets one by one in an attempt to increase the run rate. Only Dinesh Karthik (16) could face the Rajasthan bowlers for some time.
For Rajasthan, Trey Boult and Sandeep Sharma took two wickets each while Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal got one wicket each while three other batsmen were declared run out.
