Ingredients for Bread Pudding:
Milk – 500 ml
White bread – 10 slices
Custard powder – ¼ cup
Sugar – ¼ cup + ½ cup
Method: To make pudding from left over bread, first take a slice of bread and cut the edges of all the bread separately. After this, keep the white part of the bread in a vessel separately. Now make small pieces of white bread and make powder in the mixer. After preparing the bread powder, make caramel for the pudding. For this, keep a vessel on the gas for heating. Then add ¼ cup sugar and ¼ cup water, and stir continuously.
When the sugar becomes golden in color, empty the caramel in another vessel, and keep it to cool. After this you prepare the custard. To make custard, first of all, put 2 tablespoons of custard powder in a vessel. After this add ¼ cup milk to it. Make a paste with the help of a spoon. Now add 1 ¼ cup milk and 1/2 cup sugar in a pan and keep stirring. Now add custard paste to it and keep stirring. When it becomes a little thick, mix 2 pieces of bread powder in it and stir. But do not stop running this paste during this time.
Now spread the caramel in a vessel and keep it. And put the prepared paste on top of the caramel. Then cover the vessel with aluminum foil. After this, fill half of the water in the pan or cooker and heat it on the gas. Place a stand in it, then put the custard utensil on that stand and cover the water utensil from above. Switch off the gas after 20 to 25 minutes. After it cools down a bit, keep it in the fridge to set and then serve it.
