Recipe of the day: Healthy and nutritious upma made for breakfast

Everyone likes to eat upma in the morning breakfast. Made with shallots, bajra, jowar, nachni and dry fruits, this cereal upma is perfect for a healthy and nutritious breakfast. Serve garnished with curry leaves, roasted cashew nuts and grated coconut.
Material
40 ml coconut oil
5 grams mustard seeds
leaves
3 red kashmiri chillies, whole dry
10 Madras shallots, peeled and chopped
1 ginger chopped
50 grams jowar
50 grams millet
50 grams nachni
15 grams roasted cashews
20 grams soaked raisins
50 grams green peas
50 grams grated coconut
150 ml coconut cream
salt and sugar, to taste
Method
1. First of all, soak the millet in water overnight and boil it until it is cooked.
2. Heat the oil in a pan, add the chillies and fry. Keep aside for garnishing.
3. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves to the hot oil. Keep some curry leaves aside for garnishing.
4. Cook onion and ginger in oil. Add boiled jowar, bajra and nachni.
5. Add grated coconut and some cashews and raisins to it. Add water and let it boil.
6. Add coconut and add salt and sugar.
7. Cover with a lid and cook on a low flame till cooked.
8. Add green peas, cover and cook. Serve in a bowl garnished with remaining shredded coconut, fried chillies, roasted cashews and curry leaves.
