Material
Yellow Moong Dal – 200 grams
milk 2 cups
Saffron 1 pinch
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Almond slivers 3 tbsp
Desi Ghee 1 cup
sugar 2 cups
Method
Wash the pulses thoroughly and soak them in water for 3 hours. Now filter the lentils in a sieve and remove all the water. Grind the lentils coarsely in the mixer. Now take some milk in a bowl and add saffron in it, dissolve it and keep it aside. Now take a pan and add ghee in it and heat it. When ghee melts, add coarse paste of moong dal in it and fry. It will take 25-30 minutes for the dal to cook properly. After this, add one cup milk and one cup lukewarm water and mix it well. After this, once again cook the dal on medium flame while stirring for 7-8 minutes. Now add sugar to the dal and add saffron milk and cardamom powder on top, mix well and after cooking for some time, add chopped almonds and cashew nuts on top and serve.
