Gram flour – 200 grams
Desi Ghee – 1 bowl
Sugar – 1 bowl
Khoya – half bowl
Milk – half cup
Cardamom powder-1 tsp
Dry fruits – finely chopped
Method
To make gram flour barfi, sift the gram flour through a thick strainer in a vessel. After this, mix milk and 2 spoons of desi ghee in a bowl and then spread it in gram flour and mix. Mix the gram flour with the help of hands so that there are no lumps in it. Now take ghee in a pan and add gram flour in it. Keep roasting the gram flour on low flame till it turns light pink or gives aroma. After roasting, add khoya to it and turn off the gas. After this, make syrup by adding half a cup of water and sugar in a pan. Add cardamom powder to the syrup, mix it and turn off the gas once the syrup is ready. Now mix the syrup by slowly adding it to the gram flour. When the syrup and gram flour mix and start thickening slightly, turn off the gas. After this, apply some ghee in a tray and spread the mixture all over it and after it cools down, cut it and serve.
