6 finely chopped garlic cloves
ginger piece
2 tomatoes finely chopped
1 tsp red chilli powder
Method
First of all, you have to put pulses, water, salt, half teaspoon oil and turmeric in the pressure cooker and close the lid and keep it on flame. Take it off after 5 whistles. Now heat ghee in a pan, add cumin, asafoetida, temper it and then add garlic, ginger, red chilli, green chilli and onion and fry while stirring. Now add tomatoes and cover the pan. Lift the lid after 2 minutes and then add red chilli powder and a little coriander and mix. Now stir the dal in the cooker with a ladle. Then put this dal in the pan, cover it with a lid and let it cook. After boiling, remove from flame.
