Record of ‘PK’ is in danger, worldwide earnings of ‘Pathan’ are booming

‘Pathan’ has become the biggest film of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. Made on a budget of Rs 250 crore, the film has left behind the lifetime collections of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘War’ worldwide. According to the latest figures released by the makers, ‘Pathan’ has grossed a total of Rs 436 crore in the country including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. While its net box office collection is Rs 364.05 crore in the country. Out of this only the Hindi version has earned a bumper Rs 348.55 crore in the country.

‘Pathan’ had collected Rs 33 crore worldwide a day earlier on Wednesday. Its earning on Thursday is Rs 29 crore. There has been a slight decline in the film’s earnings since Monday in the weekdays. This is also inevitable, but once again bumper earnings are expected on Saturday and Sunday in the weekend. In such a situation, it is estimated that ‘Pathan’ will easily earn Rs 800 crore worldwide by Sunday. This pace of earning is much faster than any other Indian film. Especially because earlier films like ‘Dangal’, ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘KGF 2’ and ‘RRR’ were released abroad dubbed in many other languages, while this is not the case with ‘Pathan’.

Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ breaks record
On Friday, the 10th ‘Pathan’ will surpass the lifetime worldwide earnings of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’. ‘2.0’ collected Rs 699.89 crore worldwide in all languages. While by the weekend it will cross the lifetime earning of Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ figure of 750.59 crores. After this, the next challenge before ‘Pathan’ in its second week will be ‘Secret Superstar’ (Rs 858.42 crore) and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (910.59 crore).
