Rekha lauds Ranis performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, calls her Bengal Tigress

Mumbai Rekha is in awe of actress Rani Mukerji’s power-packed performance in ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’. The veteran star said that Rani has done very well in the role of the eternal mother and has portrayed all the faces of Durga Maa. She said: Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway was both exhilarating and heart-wrenching, I was on the edge of my seat from the start. It was an absolute joy to watch the performance of ‘Bengal Tigress’, a mother fighting with her life for her children. This film is for the world to see what ‘Mother India’ is!

Rekha further added, This time Rani Durga Maa in the role of the eternal mother portraying all the faces of ‘Param Maa’ is an intense performance worth watching umpteen times! She walks through fire, straight into our hearts! What a delight to watch actor and character melt into each other!

I would also like to congratulate the entire cast and crew, especially the director! Special mention to Jim Sarbh for his flawless and restrained performance! Extremely grateful and proud to have seen this brave film which reinforces the fact that there is nothing more powerful than the ‘power of a mother’!

Directed by Ashima Chibber, ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ is about the life of an immigrant mother who fights against all odds to regain custody of her children.
