RoundGlass Punjab Hockey Academy to conduct selection trials for its residential academy, Mohali News in Hindi

Mohali.RoundGlass Punjab Hockey Academy will conduct selection trials to select talented kids for its residential academy in Mohali. The next phase of selection trial will be conducted in Ludhiana.

The trials will be conducted for under-15 boys born between 1 November 2009 and 31 December 2013 and for under-17 boys born between 1 November 2007 and 31 December 2009. The participant must be a resident of Punjab and must have a minimum height of 160 cms. The trials will be held on March 10 from 9:30 am at Olympian Prithvi Pal Singh Hockey Stadium, Pau, Ludhiana.

Selected players will have the opportunity to receive a full scholarship at the Residential Academy where they will receive state-of-the-art training facilities under a team of dedicated professionals. RoundGlass Punjab is committed to developing young athletes into successful individuals by nurturing their holistic development through the Hockey Academy programme. Apart from this, the academy will also look after the education, nutrition, sports psychology and medicine of the athletes. Through these initiatives, the Academy aims to provide the best training environment for young athletes to achieve their full potential.

Speaking about the trials, Dronacharya Award winner, Olympic gold medalist and Assistant Technical Director, RGPHA, Rajinder Singh said, “RoundGlass Punjab Hockey Academy has been one of the best hockey academies in the country for quite some time now and we are proud of the young kids. “We are helping. This is an excellent opportunity for the children to strengthen the fundamentals of the game and I am hopeful that we will have a very good participation at the trials.”

The full scholarship will include academic education under a team of experienced teachers from three boards: CBSE, PSEB and NIOS. The academy also has an in-house nutritionist who will create personalized nutrition plans. The health of the children will be taken care of by the in-house medical team comprising of experienced professionals. The daily program also includes integrated yoga sessions and most importantly, they will get a platform to showcase their skills in junior and sub-junior tournaments across the country to enhance their competitive performance.
