Sakshi Sharma will play the lead role in Suhagan.

New Delhi. Actress Sakshi Sharma is all set to enter the romantic drama Suhagan as Payal replacing Anshula Dhawan.

‘Suhagan’ is the story of two sisters, Bindiya and Payal. The show took a leap of 10 years and took forward their journey of love and enmity.

Talking about her entry in the show, Sakshi said, “I am extremely excited to get a chance to work in Colors’ popular show ‘Suhagan’ once again.

The show has earned immense love and support from the audience and I am extremely happy to play the role of Payal. This is the first time I will be seen playing a full-fledged lead character who hates sister Bindiya to get her love Krishna.”

“Payal’s character is full of ups and downs and challenges and that is what motivates me to be a part of the show. I hope the audience likes me as Payal and supports the show,” she added.

With its gripping storyline, ‘Suhagan’ sees Bindiya getting married to Krishna, her sister’s love interest.

At present in the story, Krishna and Bindiya’s car breaks down amid heavy rains and they decide to go back and stay at Bindiya’s house. Just as the two begin to romance, Payal makes an unexpected entry and pretends to be ill.

The next day, Payal sits on the seat next to Krishna in the car. Bindiya gets upset seeing this and warns Payal that this seat belongs to her.

‘Suhagan’ airs on Colors.

Sakshi has featured in shows like ‘Gud Se Meetha Ishq’, ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’ and ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’.
