Samantha and Varun Dhawan to star within the Citadel franchise

Mumbai | Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu will star alongside Varun Dhawan in the Indian installment of the ‘Citadel’ universe, Prime Video and Russo Brothers’ AGBO’s global-event series. It’s homecoming for Samantha. Samantha said, “When Prime Video and Raj & DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it was a homecoming for me. as it is.”
He added, “The Citadel universe, the interconnected storyline between the productions across the world, and most importantly, the script of the Indian installment really excited me. I am thrilled to be a part of this fantastic universe envisioned by Russo Brothers AGBO “
The actress said that she is also looking forward to working with Varun Dhawan for the first time on this project.
This untitled ‘Citadel’ series based out of India is being helmed by renowned producer duo Raj and DK, who are the showrunners and directors. Local installment to Sita R. Menon has co-written it with Raj and DK.
The streaming service also confirmed that the production is currently underway in Mumbai. Thereafter, the unit will move to North India and then to international locations such as Serbia and South Africa.
