Sana Khan said, ‘Every year I am in Saudi Arabia with my husband for the festival. This year, I am at home for Eid. Usually, we cook, feast and enjoy, which we will do this time in Mumbai. For 34-year-old Sana, celebrating Eid also means keeping Ramzan, which she says is beneficial for two people, one is her and the other is her child.
Fasting even in the difficulties of pregnancy
She further said, ‘I wanted to keep the fast. It is said that if you are pregnant then the fast is counted for two people. Therefore, 30 fasts for a pregnant woman means 60 fasts.’ She was initially apprehensive about fasting, now she is happy that it all went smoothly. She said, ‘Whenever I used to see my cousins fasting during pregnancy, I never thought that I would be able to do the same. I was vomiting for the first six months of my pregnancy. I kept praying for this not to happen during Ramzan. My in-laws and husband were also not sure whether I should do it or not, but I wanted to. And I didn’t feel like eating much during my third month, so I was able to fast easily.’

This is how Sana used to celebrate Eid in childhood
Bigg Boss fame contestant Sana Khan reminisced about her time celebrating the festival as a child. It’s very different because the kids don’t have to do anything, he said. The elders iron all the clothes, cook good food and shoulder all the responsibilities. I used to wake up and go to my distant relatives, neighbors and sometimes other houses to beg Rs 10 from everyone for Eid. We used to ask our parents for a purse because we knew that we would get money on every Eid. So, every child used to carry a purse.’
