Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): In view of the Lok Sabha elections, there was talk about actor Sanjay Dutt that he may contest the elections. After which the actor clarified this and said that he has no intention of contesting the elections nor is he going to enter politics. In fact, it was claimed in many media reports that he can contest the Lok Sabha elections from Haryana and become the Congress candidate against former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The actor denied these reports and tweeted that there is no truth in them.
Sanjay Dutt wrote on his X account on Monday, ‘I would like to put an end to all the rumors about joining politics. I am not joining any party nor contesting elections. If I decide to enter politics, I will be the first to announce it. Please do not believe the news that is going on about me till now.
Sanjay Dutt’s family members have been associated with politics, hence earlier also there have been discussions about him that he can enter politics. His father Sunil Dutt was a minister in the UPA government. On Congress Party ticket, he won Mumbai North West Lok Sabha seat for 5 consecutive times. After his death, his daughter Priya Dutt took over her father’s legacy and won from that seat.
