Sara Ali Khan’s Ae Watan Mere Watan will be released on Prime Video on March 21.

Mumbai On World Radio Day, the makers of the film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ announced that it will be released digitally on March 21.

The date was revealed with a motion picture featuring the voice of lead actress Sara Ali Khan, in which she, as Usha, is seen through a secret radio making a passionate plea to the nation to unite against the British Raj.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film is written by Darab Farooqui and Iyer. It also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Srivastava, Alex O’Neil and Anand Tiwari in lead roles. Emraan Hashmi plays a special role in it.

‘Aye Watan Mere Watan’ tells the intriguing story about an underground radio station, led by a courageous young girl, that changed the course of India’s freedom struggle.

Taking inspiration from the remarkable journey of freedom fighter Usha Mehta, the film pays tribute to heroes both famous and unsung. It also depicts the bravery, patriotism, sacrifice and perseverance of the youth of India during the freedom movement.

The film is a Dharmatic Entertainment production and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra.

On World Radio Day, Prime Video announced the worldwide premiere of its original film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ which will premiere on 21st March.
