As per a report in Telly Chakkar, the actress has decided to quit showbiz and devote all her attention to her family and baby. Earlier this year, Deepika and her husband actor Shoaib Ibrahim announced that they are expecting their first child.
According to the publication, Dipika Kakar recently said in an interview that she was done with her acting career and wanted to leave the field. The actress said, “I am enjoying this phase of pregnancy and welcoming my first child. The excitement is on another level. I started working at a very young age and worked continuously for 10-15 years. As soon as my pregnancy journey started, I told Shoaib that I don’t want to work and quit acting. I want to lead life as a homemaker and mother.”
Dipika Kakar was last seen in Star Plus’s Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum opposite Karan Grover in 2020. She played the role of actress Sonakshi Rastogi. Earlier, the actress participated in the reality TV show Bigg Boss 12 and won. She was also a part of dance reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and Nach Baliye 8 with Shoaib. She made her television debut in 2010 as Lakshmi in Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi and also appeared as Rekha in Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, before landing a bigger role on the small screen as Simar.
Dipika Kakar met her husband Shoaib Ibrahim on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka and eventually the two got married in 2018. In January this year the couple announced that they are expecting their first child. He took to Instagram to share the good news. The caption read, “Sharing this news with all of you with hearts full of gratitude, joy, excitement and trepidation. Hamari life ka yeh sabse beautiful phase hai (The most beautiful phase of our life). Yes, we Expecting our first child! Going into parenthood soon. Need all your patience, prayers and love.
