Shah Rukh Khan talks about the reason behind his downfall, what motivated him to make a comeback

Shahrukh Khan disappeared from films after his failure with Zero in 2018. The superstar’s fans and well-wishers gave him time to become a dwarf and after 4 years he made a grand comeback with Pathan, Jawan and Donkey. His fans often have questions about what the superstar was doing during his sabbatical as they were wondering and just booing whether he would be back or not. Shahrukh Khan in his latest interview with Richard Quest discusses his absence from cinema for almost 5 years and what he has been up to.

In the interview, Shahrukh Khan was asked whether he feels healing for his wounds and whether he feels sad for his failure. The superstar said, “There were massive flops, and they performed very poorly. I was nursing my wounds. But you know what I did? I learned to make the best pizza in the world. I stopped listening to stories. Gave it, I stopped listening.” To tell the stories, I built myself a little kitchen, and started learning how to make pizza. I learned perseverance. Because to make the perfect round pizza, you have to make a million square pizzas first”.

Shahrukh, who gave the biggest blockbuster of his career at the age of 50, admitted that he has made mistakes and that is why he made a comeback. “I am glad that my family did not tell me, ‘Listen, your pizza is from you. Movies are better, stop making movies. I’m glad he came back and said, ‘As good as your pizza is, your movies are even better.’ I started becoming a lot more innovative. I was looking for perfection, and I started failing. I needed to be excellent, I needed to be unique, but I needed to see what the audience wanted.”

Shahrukh Khan understood what the audience wanted from him and now he will implement the same. In the same interview, the young actor said, “I used to go where there were thousands and millions of people waving at me, but I didn’t hear or feel what they wanted to see from me.
