Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ finally released amidst huge controversy, here is the first reaction of film critics

The much talked about film ‘Pathan’ has been released. The fans of this film have started giving their first reaction on social media. Fans who watched the first day show shared their reviews of the film on Twitter. The reaction of the fans is being seen not only from the country but also from abroad. Fans are not tired of praising Shah Rukh Khan, who returned to the silver screen after four years. The action of the film is also being praised.

After initial protests against the film in India, heavy police deployment has been made outside the theatres. The first show of Pathan movie in India has started at 6 am. The film Pathan released in India in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on 5200 screens. The film has got 2500 screens internationally. The film has been released on a total of 7700 screens. Shahrukh’s film also has a cameo by Salman Khan which is related to his Tiger series.

Booking earnings cross 24 crores

As far as the collections of the film are concerned, reports are claiming that the film has crossed the Rs 24 crore mark in advance bookings and is inching closer to Rs 25 crore. It is believed that the film can make a grand opening at the box office. The film is releasing on a weekday ie non-holiday day. Although the film is getting a weekend of 5 days. It is believed that the film can earn Rs 40-50 crores on the first day itself while its weekend collection is likely to reach Rs 150-200 crores. At the same time, there is a possibility of breaking the record of Hindi version of Bahubali 2 in terms of first day earnings of film Pathan at the box office. Bahubali 2 had an opening of around Rs 41 crore.

Police arrangement outside the theater

The film faced fierce protests in several states including Gujarat and theater owners in Ahmedabad held a meeting with the police for security. In this meeting, the police assured the theater owners that police protection would be provided in all the theaters during the release of the film. Advance booking of Pathan film had been done in almost all the theaters of Ahmedabad and Pathan’s posters were also installed in all the theatres. Meanwhile, police has been deployed today to prevent any untoward incident.

What was the controversy?

First of all, when the first song of Pathan film Besharam Rang was released, there was a controversy regarding the color of actress Deepika Padukone’s bikini. People said that the color of the bikini has been deliberately kept saffron and it is an insult to Hinduism. Apart from this, some dialogues of the film were also changed due to the controversy. People started trending a hashtag on social media platforms including Twitter to boycott Pathan.
