Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan may take record-breaking opening: Trade analyst

A lot of hope is being expressed about the young man in the trade market. It is being said that Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan, which is slated to release on September 7, may take a record-breaking opening.

According to Bollywood Hungama, trade analyst Atul Mohan expressed hope on the opening day collection of Jawan, saying, “In all languages, the film can collect Rs 70 crore or Rs 80-90 crore. At the same time, in the Hindi version, the first day collection of Jawan is more than Pathan i.e. around Rs. Could be up to 70 crores.

Expressing happiness, Vishek Chauhan, owner of Roopbani Cinema in Purnia, Bihar, said, “It will collect more than Pathan. On Day 1, it will collect between 65 and 70 crores.”

Raj Bansal, owner of Entertainment Paradise in Jaipur, predicted, “I expect it to collect 65 crores plus on Thursday. When it comes to the advance ticket sales of an actor’s next film, the performance of his/her previous film matters a lot. After Pathan, there was no looking back for Shah Rukh Khan.”

Producer and film business analyst Girish Johar said, “If I talk about the weekend, it can make a total collection of 300-350 crores across languages. Janmashtami is a big holiday in North India, so the jawan will be benefited. It will be able to earn 100 crores worldwide on the first day.

Vishek Chauhan is hopeful that Jawan will cross the 100 crore mark on its release day, “I want a Hindi film to collect 100 crores on the first day so that it will motivate the exhibitors to open theatres.”

Pathan is currently the highest grossing Hindi film as it has earned Rs 543.05 crore nett in India. Taran Adarsh, Girish Johar and Vishek Chauhan are hopeful that the youngster has all the potential to cross this figure. However, Raj Bansal said, “It is too early to comment as it depends on the content of the film. The music has not worked as expected. The songs are not chartbusters.”
