Shaitaan Movie Review: Amidst the trend of remakes of South films, the film Shaitaan released this Friday is the Hindi remake of Gujarati film Vash. Very little good work has been done on the supernatural genre in Hindi cinema. With Ajay Devgan’s name being associated with the film, expectations from this film had increased. However, this film also had the potential to become a supernatural thriller. The first part of the film keeps you engaged, but in the second part the story completely falls apart and the weak climax has made the experience of the film even worse. This film remains a weak film.

The story of a father saving his family
Talking about the story of the film, the story of the film is about Kabir (Ajay Devgan) and his family, in which his wife (Jyotika), daughter Jhanvi (Janki) and son (Angad) are living a happy life. One day, the family is going to the farm house for a vacation when they meet a stranger (Madhavan) on the way. Talking about the story and screenplay of the film, this horror genre film based on a day scares you, makes you restless and even angry in its first part, but the trouble starts after the interval. The second part seems like a repetition of the first part and the climax of the film has remained very ordinary. Logic is also missing there. The film has not been able to answer many questions. The background of Madhavan’s character is told in just two lines, which weakens the screenplay. Madhavan mentions his daughter in the beginning of the film. Whether he had a daughter or not. The film does not even answer this question. The dialogues do justice to the story. Music and camerawork play the most important role in a horror film and this film has definitely added these aspects effectively in its film. The background music of the film is good, which makes you feel the fear, helplessness and tension of the characters. Talking about songs and music, they do justice to the story. Cinematography has to be praised. Many scenes from the location of the film make the atmosphere terrifying, the crocodile made of rubber also tells the fear of the atmosphere.

Powerful performance of Madhavan and Janaki

Apart from Madhavan, young actress Janaki, who is seen in the role of Jhanvi, has also given a powerful performance. He also played the same character in a Gujarati film. In her character, she sometimes looks like a scared and helpless girl, and in the next moment she seems successful in scaring you with her acting. Ajay Devgan has played his role well, but the weak screenplay has not done justice to an actor of his caliber. This is also seen in the character of Jyotika. There is no depth in his character either. The child artist has done justice to his role.
