Karthik Aryan’s film Shehzada, which released on Friday, proved to be unsuccessful on the first day at the box office. The film lured the audience with one free ticket on the first day to engage with it, which made it successful in the box office business of around 7 crores. After Bhool Bhulaiyaa, it was expected that Shehzada would be able to do business of 10-12 crores at the box office, but these estimates proved to be bleak. Significantly, Bhool Bhulaiyaa-2 had managed to reach itself to 187 crores on the first day at the box office, doing a business of more than 14 crores.
The official reports of the film’s business are not out yet. Early Estimates reports claim that the film is going to do business in the range of Rs 6.75 to Rs 7 crore on the first day. According to the reports, the film is competing at the box office with Shahrukh Khan’s film Pathan. Whereas, along with Hollywood films Ant-Man and Wasp Quantummania are also seen giving competition to Shehzada in theatres. Because of which the pace of Karthik Aryan’s film was slow.
Interestingly, to counter this situation, Shehzada’s team had already come up with an offer of Buy 1 Gate 1 tickets. Which has been seen to be beneficial to the film to some extent. Now everyone’s eyes are on the figures of Saturday-Sunday. In which due to Mahashivratri, a jump can be seen.
Meanwhile, it is also being said that Karthik Aryan has suffered the loss of doing a remake film. At a time when most South films are already available to the audience in dubbed versions. Remaking at that time is no less than jumping into a deep ditch for Bollywood stars. This is the reason why despite the charm of Karthik Aryan, the audience has not reached in large numbers to watch Shehzada. The film is the Hindi remake of Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film Ala Vaikunthapuramlo, whose Hindi version is out on Goldmines YouTube channel as well as other channels.
