On February 17, Karthik Aryan’s film Shehzada was released at the box office. It was being said about this film that this is the first big film to be released after Pathan, to see which the audience will definitely come to the cinema hall. All hopes and expectations were dashed as the film failed at the box office. Karthik Aryan made his debut as a producer through this film. Along with the audience, we have given a lot of thought to the failure of this film. After this we came across some simple reasons due to which the audience rejected the film. Remake of the film and original film being on OTT
The biggest reason for the failure of Karthik Aryan’s Shehzada is the remake of this film. Shehzada is the official Hindi remake of Telugu film Ala Venkuthapuramulo starring Allu Arjun, which is available on OTT platform Netflix. Although this film is not in Hindi on Netflix, but this film is available in Hindi language on YouTube. With the original language being in Hindi on other channels, the audience had already seen the film, so they did not bother to watch it even though it was in Hindi.

The story of Shehzada is very simple. It is a mere copy of Ala Venkuthapuramulo. The story of the film was not altered much, due to which the reaction of the audience was opposite. Apart from this, Karthik Aryan Allu Arjun Waller could not carry the swag. What Karthik was made to do in the film was a complete copy of Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun’s style, swag and star power contributed a lot to the success of Ala Venkuthapurramuloo.

A scene was instrumental in the success of Ala Venkuthapurramuloo. The scene was of a boardroom meeting, in which Bunny’s character starts dancing. The scene was full of humour, which was loved by the audience. No space was given to this scene in Shehzada. Additionally, in order to adapt the film to the Hindi-speaking audience, several scenes from the original film were removed, due to which the audience could not connect with the film.

The music of the film is released in the market before the release of the film, so that it is successful in creating an atmosphere for the film. The music of Shahzada was defeated in this case too. There is not a single song in the film that the audience remembers after watching the film. The remix song Character Dheela Hai from Salman Khan’s film Reddy, which was shot at the end of the film Rahi Sahi Kasar, has been completed. Due to this song, the film got publicity, but it got negative. The audience did not like this song at all. The original film’s songs Butt Buma and Ramulo shot to new heights of popularity, which also benefited the film.

Shehzada became a sandwich between Pathan and Antman
Shehzada was earlier scheduled to release on February 10, but the filmmakers pushed it a week ahead due to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. He felt that it would be right to come before Pathan a week late. But his decision backfired on him. On February 17, he clashed with Marvel Studios’ Hollywood film Ant-Man. There is a strange obsession among the audience about Marvel movies in India, due to which they do not pay attention to any other movie in front of it. In this way, Shehzada was sandwiched between Pathan and Antman. Even today Pathan is doing more business than Shehzada.
