The pace of Ajay Devgan and R Madhavan’s horror thriller film slowed down on the fourth day. The film’s earnings increased for three days from the opening day, but by the fourth day there was a huge decline in its box office collection. ‘Shaitan’, released on March 9, had crossed the Rs 54 crore mark in three days, but on Monday it did a business of only Rs 7 crore. After which its total collection has become 61 crores.
The film opened with Rs 14.75 crore on the first day, which is decent. On the second day, the film collected Rs 18.75 crore with an increase of 27 percent. ‘Shaitan’ earned the highest on the third day, the film’s collection on this day stood at Rs 20.5 crore with an increase of 9.33 percent. However, this film failed in Monday test.
Ajay Devgan’s ‘Shaitan’ has equaled the opening day box office figures of ‘Drishyam 2’. But it lagged a little behind on the second day, ‘Drishyam 2’ had earned Rs 21.59 crore on the second day.
The film has time till March 15 to survive at the box office, because Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani’s film ‘Yodha’ is going to be released on that day. After that both the films will face each other at the box office.
‘Shaitan’ has been directed by Vikas Bahl. This film is the Hindi version of the Gujarati horror film ‘Vash’ released in the year 2023. Which was written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik. This film is about black magic.
