In a conversation with ‘ETimes’, Shoaib Ibrahim recalled the difficult phase of his life when he left his hit show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. Shoaib was playing the role of Prem in the hit show and was working with his wife Dipika Kakar. However, Shoaib left the show midway when he was at the peak of his career. When asked why he left the daily soap, Shoaib revealed that his character had nothing left to do in the show and this started depressing him. Though he is grateful for the show, Shoaib revealed how he was not satisfied as an actor and thus decided to quit the show.

However, Shoib Ibrahim’s journey after leaving ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ was not easy as he had no work for 3 years. Shoaib shared how he focused on grooming himself in the first year and managed his expenses with the money he saved while working for ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. He gave credit to his wife Deepika Kakkar for helping him. Although they were good friends at that time and they used to live in the same building. Shoaib told that he was living alone and Deepika helped him with food.

Deepika was with him in bad times
When tough times came, Shoaib revealed that his family supported him and Dipika Kakar also stood behind him like a pillar. Apart from this, the Anju actor revealed, ‘I had made some savings and I had stopped my expenses for some time. After that Deepika supported me a lot, and I never shy away from admitting it. I proudly accept it. That’s why I never did it. My father also had some savings which we used and our entire family is very grateful to Deepika for showering so much love and supporting us in every way.

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim fell in love with each other while working on the show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. The lovebirds tied the knot on February 22, 2018, in Bhopal. Now both are about to become parents.
