Shubman Gill to try his hand at acting after making his debut as a voice-over artist in Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill remains in headlines for his professional and personal reasons. He is an extremely young talented cricketer who plays for the IPL team Gujarat Titans. His name is also linked to dating Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar. Along with building his image in sports, he is also working in the field of entertainment. He has already stepped into it by lending his voice to the Indian version of Spiderman. Gill has since expressed his interest in building a new skill and that is no different but acting.

As the tournament ended with CSK taking home the trophy, the cricketer revealed his other interests apart from playing cricket. Shubman Gill has expressed his desire to join the film industry. He’s already entered the fray in baby steps by voicing the lead character in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

In an interview, Shubman Gill said that acting is a skill he would like to access but he would like to take proper classes before jumping into it. Gill elaborated that when he says skill he means being able to attend some acting classes or attend workshops. That is something that he would like to do at some point in life.

Shubman Gill stated that his dubbing project was to gain experience in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse territory. He mentioned that he finds the whole acting and cinema very fascinating job and that is one of the reasons why he dubbed for a superhero film. He said, “It’s not easy to convince other people or portray someone you’re not, so in that sense, I want to have that acting skill, but I don’t know if I’ll have to get in front of the camera or No.” I cannot say for sure about this.

Shubman Gill made a grand entry during the trailer launch of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. He looked dapper as he attended the event alongside Pavitra Prabhakar, who he will be voicing in the Hindi version of the film. Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is set to release in theaters on June 1, 2023.
