The popularity of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is not hidden from anyone. He has the record of being the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for a long time. During his tenure, he has earned unprecedented trust of the public, which comes to us many times in public. The kind of affection he is getting from the citizens during the Lok Sabha election campaign is rarely seen. Especially he has developed a close relationship with his mothers and sisters. The women of Madhya Pradesh have truly accepted him as their brother and the girls as their maternal uncle. Wherever he is going for election campaign, unique scenes are being seen. Women are giving him money to contest elections. Little girls are offering them their piggy banks. The way elder sisters hand over ten-twenty rupees to their brother who comes to their house, similar scenes are being seen in the election campaign of Shivraj Singh Chouhan. These women also know that their ten-twenty rupees will not cover the election expenses of Shivraj Singh Chauhan and they also know that Shivraj is financially capable to contest his elections. Even after this, if women are handing over Rs 10, 20 or 50 to their Shivraj bhaiya, then there is an emotional relationship behind it. There is affinity. It is clearly visible that Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s ‘sisters and nieces’ are contesting the election. When the general public is seen contesting the election of a leader, then understand what his political stature will be. Shivraj Singh Chouhan also becomes emotional after meeting his sisters and nieces and says that this love of the people is amazing, even the happiness of the three worlds cannot be compared to this love. I bow my head and salute this love. My son and daughter are also gifting piggy banks. I will leave no stone unturned to improve the future of my children. Remember that in the assembly elections, BJP got one-sided vote of women due to Shivraj Singh Chauhan. ‘Laadli Brahmin Yojana’, which was started with the aim of economically empowering women, had changed the whole game. Apart from this, many schemes of Shivraj Singh Chouhan have made women voters of BJP. During his tenure as Chief Minister, he made many innovations to empower the women of the state and increase their respect, which were also adopted by the governments of other states.

Bharatiya Janata Party has made him its candidate from Vidisha in the Lok Sabha elections. Vidisha is one of the safest seats for BJP. Even if the BJP candidate does not go to campaign here, he will win by a huge margin. At the same time, this is an even safer seat for Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Before becoming the Chief Minister, he was a Lok Sabha MP from here. In the year 1990, Shivraj Singh Chauhan had come as MLA for the first time from Budhni assembly seat of Sehore district for the ninth assembly. Shivraj resigned from his post on November 23, 1991. Shivraj Singh Chauhan reached the Lok Sabha for the first time in the by-election held here after the seat of the then MP from Vidisha, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, became vacant. After this, Shivraj Singh Chauhan remained MP from here five times continuously till the year 2004. In a way, Shivraj Singh Chauhan has returned to his home in the Lok Sabha elections. Bharatiya Janata Party and political analysts are also claiming that Shivraj can create a record for the country’s biggest victory from here. It is noteworthy that in 2019, BJP’s Ramakant Bhargava had defeated Congress’s Shailendra Patel from here by a huge margin of about five lakh votes.

Analyzing the election campaign of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, it is noticed that his relationship with the citizens of Vidisha parliamentary constituency is very strong. That is why Congress also hesitated in fielding a new and young face in front of him. Congress has placed its bet on its candidate who has won the MP election from Vidisha twice i.e. in 1980 and 84. Congress candidate Pratap Bhanu Sharma has dominance in the area. He had lost the election to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari but Atal ji praised Pratap Bhanu when he met him in the corridors of Parliament. Pratap Bhanu had given a good challenge to Atal ji in the Lok Sabha elections. However, today’s circumstances are not the same as before, nor does Pratap Bhanu Sharma have the same hold on the field. In front of him is a politician in the form of Shivraj Singh Chauhan, whose elections are being fought by the people of the area themselves.
