A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Mumbai Police has started investigating the alleged suicide of Disha Salian, the former manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. An official gave this information on Friday.
Additional Commissioner of Police (North) Rajeev Jain is heading the SIT. Malwani police station senior inspector Chimaji Adhav and his team are conducting the investigation, which is being monitored by Deputy Commissioner of Police Ajay Kumar Bansal, the officer said.
He said that people related to the case are being interrogated. Salian (28) was found dead on June 8, 2020. A few days later, Rajput (34) was found hanging in his flat in suburban Bandra, Mumbai.
According to police, Salian had committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise building in suburban Malad. Her father Satish Salian had written a letter to the police saying that he did not suspect any foul play in the case of his daughter’s death.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis had announced in the winter session of the state legislature last year that an SIT would be formed to investigate the case.
