In an interview with Brut, Smriti Irani recalled her early struggles as an actor. He talked about rejecting roles that were contrary to his professional integrity. According to Smriti, she said that when I left it, I was the highest paid actress in Indian television. But I also had some conditions. I missed many such opportunities because I had not advertised Pan Masala. I was very clear that I did not consider myself that way. I will not go to weddings. There was a lot of money in it, but I had a different view of myself as a professional.”
She elaborated on her decision to prioritize dignity and family responsibilities over opportunities such as acting roles in films. She said that despite being offered ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, she rejected it due to her reluctance to portray stereotypical female characters. “I had family responsibilities,” he explained. I didn’t want it to be a cause of embarrassment for my family members so I wanted to live my life as an actor with dignity. I made choices where I was offered lead roles in films even in the first three months of KSBKBT, but I had decided that I would have a child and I knew that if I wanted a child, I would be a heroine.
